Honda CB300R Recall: Voluntary recall over headlight PCB issue —Alert for vehicle owners

News Image
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has officially announced a voluntary recall of its popular CB300R motorcycle, citing a technical issue that could impact rider safety—especially at night. The recall is aimed at fixing a potential flaw in the internal PCB structure linked to the bike's headlight system. What’s the issue? The problem lies in the internal PCB (Printed Circuit Board) that connects to the CB300R’s headlight. Over time, vibrations and movements during regular use can cause fatigue breaks in the core wires at the root terminals. As a result, the headlight may begin to flicker or even shut off completely, which can be a serious safety concern—particularly during night rides or highway travel. While the issue may seem minor in daylight conditions, it could become a major hazard after dark, compromising visibility and rider safety.
