Google has officially launched AI Mode in its Search platform for all English-language users in India, marking a major shift in how people interact with the internet. The feature, which had been available through Google’s Search Labs since June, now requires no sign-up and is rolling out on Android, iOS, and desktop devices across the country.

Powered by Google’s advanced Gemini 2.5 model, AI Mode introduces a conversational search experience, giving users direct, detailed answers instead of just a list of links. Why India?
