Mahindra XUV 3XO: Mahindra has officially entered the compact SUV segment in Australia with the launch of the XUV 3XO, its latest global offering. The SUV will be available in two variants – AX5L and AX7L – with introductory prices starting at AUD 23,490 (approximately Rs. 13.18 lakh) for the AX5L, and AUD 26,490 (approximately Rs. 14.87 lakh) for the top-spec AX7L. These prices are valid until August 31, after which they will increase by AUD 500.Most affordable Mahindra SUV in AustraliaThe XUV 3XO becomes Mahindra's most budget-friendly SUV in the Australian market. It joins the brand’s existing lineup, which includes the XUV700, Scorpio N, and S11 4X4 Pikup. With just two trims – AX5L and AX7L – on offer, the 3XO is positioned as an accessible yet well-equipped option for Australian buyers. Interestingly, the SUV is around Rs 4 lakh cheaper in Australia compared to India, when converted based on its AUD 23,490 starting price.Mahindra XUV 3XO: design and featuresThe XUV 3XO retains its India-spec styling, including C-shaped LED DRLs, sleek LED headlamps, a connected LED tail-lamp bar, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The AX5L variant comes with 16-inch alloys, while the AX7L sports 17-inch dual-tone wheels and a black contrast roof. The exterior design remains unchanged for the Australian market.Inside, both variants boast a dual 10.25-inch display setup, wireless smartphone connectivity, dual-zone climate control, leather-wrapped steering, and USB-C fast charging ports. The AX7L offers additional premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, synthetic leather seats, and front parking sensors.Mahindra XUV 3XO: Strong safety package with ADASSafety is a strong focus, with both variants offering six airbags, ESC, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts, and importantly, Level 2 ADAS features. These include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and high-beam assist – all offered as standard across both variants.Mahindra XUV 3XO: PowertrainThe XUV 3XO is powered by Mahindra’s 1.2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine, delivering 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The model is exported to Australia as a completely built unit (CBU).In India, the XUV 3XO is priced between Rs. 7.99 lakh and Rs. 15.79 lakh (ex-showroom). With this launch, Mahindra aims to strengthen its global presence and offer an appealing entry point for SUV buyers in competitive international markets like Australia.
