NSDL share price listing: Stocks make strong debut on BSE; check market cap

NSDL Share Price Listing: National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) IPO today (August 6) made strong listing on the BSE, yielding a gain of 10 per cent. NSDL shares debuted at Rs 800 on BSE against the issue price of Rs 800.NSDL commanded a market capitalisation of Rs 17,600 crore on listing, according to BSE website.The price band for NSDL shares was Rs 760-800 per share. NSDL raised Rs 4,011 crore at the upper price band -- Rs 800.NSDL IPO Subscription DataNSDL IPO was subscribed 41 times on the closing day of bidding on Friday (August 1). NSDL received bids for 1,44,03,92,004 shares against 3,51,27,002 shares on offer, translating into 41.01 times subscription, as per data available with the NSE.NSDL IPO's QIB quota was booked 103.97 times. The NII portion was subscribed 34.98 times while the retail was subscribed 7.73 times.NSDL IPO was entirely an OFS of 5.01 crore shares. The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, IDBI Bank, Union Bank of India, and Administrator of Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India (SUUTI) sold shares via IPO.Since the IPO is entirely an OFS, NSDL will not receive any proceeds from the public issue.About NSDLThe listing makes NSDL the country's second publicly traded depository after Central Depository Services (CDSL), which was listed on the NSE in 2017.NSDL is a SEBI-registered market infrastructure institution.
